Asuega signed with Idaho this past spring and is expected to compete for immediate playing time in the Vandal defensive line rotation. He was the second player to commit to Idaho last year (verballed on September 26th), and is the younger brother of current Vandal assistang coach JOHNNY NANSEN. Despite missing all of his senior season with an ACL injury, Asuege possesses intriguing speed for his size. He was offered by UTEP to play fullback, and was getting recruited by Colorado for the same position as well.
He comes to Idaho with the size and agility to compete for immediate playing time on the Vandal front. |
