| Biography: |
Jonathan joined the Vandals in the spring of 2007 as a grayshirt freshman (he committed to Idaho in the spring of 2006 when Dennis Erickson was at Idaho before taking over at Arizona State). An exceptionally strong and talented athlete, he quickly rose to the top of the linebacker depth chart.
However, depth issues on the Vandal defensive line forced him to play as a defensive end last fall for Idaho. In nine games in 2007 he recorded 27 tackles (20 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, and tied for a team-best 4 sacks on the year. He also forced a fumble.
With defensive line depth improving, Faraimo moves back to linebacker in 2008 and is currently ranked as the No.1 middle linebacker on the Vandal depth chart. One of the strongest players on the team and sporting a 400+ pound bench press, Faraimo is poised to be a team leader in 2008.
