Jason signed with Idaho in the spring of 2004 and was expected to contribute immediately at guard for the Vandals. Played in 14 games for the Vandals and averaged 6.6 minutes per game... Shot 37 percent from the 3-point line... Finished the season with 26 points, five steals, four assists and six rebounds... Recorded a career-high 11 points against Fort Lewis (11/21/04)
HIGH SCHOOL
Bowden-Key was a four-year starter at Chicago's Prosser High School. He was a major contributor to Prosser’s 2003-04 record of 20-9 with his averages of 19 points, four assists, six rebounds and eight steals per game. He wrapped up his high school career as Prosser’s leading scorer (1,716) and leading 3-point shooter. Bowden-Key’s abilities didn’t go unnoticed by coaches in Chicago’s rugged Red West League. He was a four-time, first-team all-conference selection and was recognized as an honorable mention all-state player in 2003-04. As a senior, Bowden-Key led Prosser to the championship of the State Farm Holiday Classic. He was also on the 2003 Big Dipper all-tournament team.
