Idaho sophomore center YINKA OLORUNNIFE set a new Cowan Spectrum record Friday night with a stunning 20 rebound performance against Western Athletic Conference leader Fresno State. For the season, Friday night's victory over Fresno gave the Vandals the season sweep over the Bulldogs and the tiebreaker over Fresno if the teams are knotted at the end of the season.

Friday night's victory over Fresno State was one of the most dominant halves of women's basketball we have seen since we've been watching Idaho women's basketball. The Vandals led by as many as 17, never trailed, and held the league-leaders to 29.6% from the floor.

Fresno is still on top at 8-3 in WAC competition, but has lost twice to Idaho (7-3 WAC). Boise State and Nevada are also standing at 7-3 WAC currently.

Statistically, Yinka Olorunnife had 15 rebounds in the first half, and wound up with 20 on the game (a career high). The mark set a new Cowan Spectrum record and was the most by a Vandal since career leading rebounder Ali Nieman had 21 vs BSU in 1989.

Yinka's mark ties her for second on the Idaho single game rebounds list with Denise Brose vs. Central Washington in 1981. Nieman, Jean Hayman-Chamberlain and Patty O'Connor all registered 21 rebounds and are tied for the single-game record at Idaho.
