Vandals Win Opener, Down NMSU 21-6

The Vandals jumped out to an impressive 21-0 lead going into halftime at New Mexico State on Saturday, looking poised and prepared (including MAX KOMAR rolling over an Aggie defender for a TD) in the season opener for both schools. In the second half the Idaho offense stalled, but the Vandal defense forced a couple Aggie turnovers in a bend-but-don't-break approach, yielding just one touchdown.

hauls in this six yard touchdown pass to give Idaho a 7-0 first quarter lead. He finished with two catches for 18 yards in the game, both catches being impressive outstretched nabs in traffic.

were impressive all day. Dickson led the Vandals with 11 tackles against NMSU, whle Lavarias had three tackles from his strongside defensive end position.
