Clayton Homme makes verbal pledge to Idaho

THE RECRUITING SEASON IS HEATING UP, and two weeks ago the University of Idaho received a verbal commitment from receiver CLAYTON HOMME, a Southridge High School senior ranked No. 2 in the Columbia Basin Big Nine league with 610 receiving yards. His big 6-5, 200-pound frame gives him the option to play multiple positions at the next level, and the Vandals are recruiting Homme to play tightend.

The Southridge Suns are coached by Andy Troxel – a name long familiar to Idaho fans – and coach Troxel says this year's team may be the best team in Southridge history. The Suns made the move from Class 3A up to Class 4A recently, and find themselves poised to battle for a state championship this season.
