Heather Bergland pulls out to an early lead in the finals of the Women's 60m hurdles at the University of Washington Last Chance Qualifier Indoor Track Meet on Saturday, March 8, 2008. Heather Bergland missed a provisional qualification with a time of 8.45 seconds falling just .02 seconds short of the provisional qualification mark. Vandal Track Once a Vandal, always a Vandal. Four Idaho competitors take a brief moment before the 2008 UW Last Chance Qualifying Meet on March 8th. Pictured from left to right are Heather Bergland, K.C. Dahlgren, Mykael Bothum, and Christie Gordon. Bergland earned a provisional qualification to the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championship. Bergland and Gordon finished 2nd and 4th in the finals of women's 60 meter hurdles. Bothum finished 2nd in the women's shotput with a throw of 14.81 meters (48' 7 1/4"). Dahlgren tied with seven contestants for 2nd place with a height of 4.99 meters (13' 1").


Vandal Track Idaho's Cesar Barquero takes an early lead in the men's 800 meter run at the UW Last Chance Qualifier Meet on March 8th.


Vandal Track David Holmon jumps into first place with a distance of 15.46 meters (50' 8 3/4") and earns a provisional qualification to the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships. Holmon and several Idaho Vandals competed in the 2008 UW Last Chance Qualifying Meet at the Dempsey Indoor Facility on the Washington Campus.

Vandal Track Elvie Williams jumps to 7.20 (23' 7.5") in his attempt to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track Championships. Williams finished 3rd overall at the Husky Last Chance meet.


Vandal Track Idaho's Paul Dittmer, who is from Hamburg, Germany, clears a hurdle on the way to a second place finish in the men's 60 meter hurdles at the UW Last Chance Qualifier Meet at the Dempsey Indoor Facility in Seattle, WA. Dittmer's time was 8.14 seconds.


Vandal Track Lucas Pope, of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, clears 5.05 meters (16' 6 34") on his third and final try at that height. Mike Carpenter cleared 4.90 meters (16' 3/4") at the UW Last Chance Qualifier Meet in Seattle. Pope and Carpenter were 1st and 2nd respectively in Flight 1 of the finals.
