Idaho offers speedy d-end prospect


ROBB AKEY makes no secret about his desire for defensive ends with speed rushing ability. Indeed, much of Akey's success as d-coordinator at WSU in the '03 season was built around the fleet footed play from bookends D.D. Acholonu and Ike Brown. The Idaho head man has offered an Evergreen State DE who holds some of those same characteristics. Several others, however, are also in pursuit.

Hank Bryant (6.4, 220, 4.67) out of Tumwater holds offers from Idaho and Fresno State and is seeing interest from several others. Bryant said he has no early frontrunners and doesn't anticipate making his verbal commitment anytime soon. At the same time, the Vandals have made a strong early impression, he said.
