Seattle-Area UI Alumni Cruise This Weekend!

This weekend the 3rd annual "Idaho Alumni Cruise" sets sail, hosted by the Puget Sound Chapter of the Vandal Scholarship Fund (VSF). Guests of honor at this event include Steve Johnson (Executive Director, UI Alumni Office), Robb Akey (Football Head Coach), Tom Jager (UI Swim Coach and Olympic Champion), and Rob Spear (Director of Athletics).

Final preparations have been made and the schedule is set for an evening cruise on Puget Sound with Elliott Bay Argosy Cruises THIS Saturday, May 5, 2005, organized by the Puget Sound Chapter of the Vandal Scholarship Fund.

Partially enclosed upper deck includes spacious open deck space.

This premiere event, scheduled to take place on Argosy's "Lady Mary" touring vessel, will include discussions about Idaho's plans for the future. The 3 hour cruise, which begins boarding at 6:00pm THIS Saturday, May 5, provides outstanding views of the Seattle skyline, Elliott Bay, and the majestic Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges at sunset. The Lady Mary offers 2 decks, including a spacious and fully enclosed main deck with a private catering area. The second deck is partially enclosed with open deck space. A no-host, full-service bar is available on both the main and upper decks, while appetizers will be served on the main deck and are included in the ticket price.

Boarding for this event begins at 6:00pm on Pier 55 (Seattle Waterfront). THE BOAT DEPARTS AT 6:30PM SHARP! The Lady Mary will return to shore at 9:30PM.


All proceeds from this event will benefit the Vandal Scholarship Fund, which funds over 300 student-athlete scholarships at the University of Idaho.
