Despite an outstanding Idaho effort, including Vandal wide receiver MARLON HAYNES' 41-yard touchdown catch which cut BSU's lead to 28-26 early in the fourth quarter, Idaho fell to rival Boise State 42-26 in Moscow. Both teams struck with big plays, but on this day the Broncos delivered a few more late in the game to put it away.

Jade Tadvick
Jade Tadvick and the Vandal offensive line fought back BSU's talented defensive line and led the way for quaterback Steve Wichman to gain 328 yards passing and throw 3 TD passes versus 2 INTs for the game. Despite 45 pass attempts, Wichman was sacked just once (12 yard loss). Idaho netted 69 yards rushing for the game.

David Vobora

David Vobora
Idaho SAM linebacker David Vobora tallied 9 tackles on the day, including this key fourth quarter sack of Jared Zabransky that netted a 17-yard loss on the play. Vobora remains tied with Tyrone McKenzie (Iowa State) for FOURTH in the nation on overall tackles per game average (11.38 per game). He leads the nation in solo tackles per game (7.63).

Marlon Haynes
QB Steve Wichman hooked up with WR Marlon Haynes for a 41-yard scoring play to bring the Vandals to within 28-26 early in the fourth quarter. Haynes led all receivers with 96-yards on six catches.

Stanley Franks
Stanley Franks recorded his SEVENTH interception for the season Saturday when he picked off a second half Zabranksy pass and returned it 35 yards to set up an Idaho field goal. He remains tied with Daymeion Hughes (Cal) for SECOND in the nation with his seven picks on the season. He is just two shy of the UI single-season interceptions record (9) which has stood for almost 40 years. Overall Idaho remains tied for 13 in the nation in takeways (tied with Nevada, Vanderbilt, and Missouri with 19 takeaways on the year).

Tino Amancio
Sophomore walkon kicker Tino Amancio went 2-for-3 in the game, missing a 41 yard attempt in the first quarter, then converting two third quarter attempts (29, 25) that helped cut BSU's lead to 28-20 late in the third quarter.

Jayson Bird
Jayson Bird again was a battering ram for the Vandal offense, netting 50 yards on 11 carries (4.5 yards per touch). His long of the day was 14-yards.

Ryan Davis
Senior defensive tackle Ryan Davis fought back from a shoulder injury last week against La Tech to battle the Broncos Saturday. Despite the setback, Davis led a punt blocking surge in the third quarter, and in fact blocked the punt himself that that setup one of Idaho's two third quarter field goals.

Jaron Williams
Returning to starting MLB duties, senior Jaron Williams pulled down 4 tackles in the game.
Max Komar
Walkon redshirt freshman WR Max Komar had two key receptions for 11 yards.

Joe Vandal
Joe Vandal leads the charge.

Vandal Crowd
The Idaho crowd Saturday, listed as an even 17,000 unofficially, was outstanding. From beginning to end they were in the game and lit the Dome, and the team, with energy.
