University of Idaho grayshirt freshman Tracy Ford dives for a first half touchdown after quarterback Steve Wichman split out to wide receiver and center Adam Korby snapped the ball directly to Ford on fourth down. It was a perfectly executed play on a gutsy call that cut BSU's lead to 21-14 late in the second quarter.

Tracy Ford
HEART OF A GIANT... Grayshirt freshman Tracy Ford is a high-energy athlete that perfectly fits into the mold of head coach Nick Holt and his staff. What the speedster lacks in size he more than makes up with guts, hard work, and solid instincts. In two games in the Vandal backfield, he is second on the team with 175 yards this season (79 Saturday) on 41 carries. He currently leads Idaho ball carriers with 2 TDs on the season (both at BSU).

Charles Campbell
Vandal defensive end Charles Campbell, a junior who joined the program this fall, had an outstanding game against the Broncs, including a second half sack of BSU quarterback Jared Zabransky that took the Broncos out of field goal position with a 13-yard loss.

Hank Therien
LEADER EMERGING... Junior right tackle Hank Therien continues to develop into an emotional leader on the offensive line and team. The fiery giant has been a spark plug this fall, occasionally letting his emotions result in a penalty, but he kept his energy focused Saturday. The big man is becoming the leader this line will need in the future, and for hopefully a strong finish at San Jose Saturday.

Steve Wichman
Quarterback Steve Wichman stunned everyone at The Game Saturday, including the BSU defense, when he pitched to running back Rollie Lumbala who trotted to the right side of the line, stopped, and fired his first collegiate pass to a wide open Wichman on the left side of the field. Steve hauled in the pass, and trotted into the endzone untouched. Oddly, the only one that wasn't fooled was our photographer, Larry Johnson.

Antwaun Sherman
Senior running back and return man Antwaun Sherman gained 112 yards on 7 kickoff returns, with a long of 26 yards. Kicks were generally right at the UI goal line, and Sherm did a solid job getting the ball out to the 20 against a quick Bronco kick defense.

Rolly Lumbala
VANDAL VICE...Sophomore running back Rolly Lumbala demonstrates how to hold the ball without getting it stripped. The Vandals have been remarkably sure-handed this year, and this grip is part of the reason. It doesn't hurt that Lumbala can bench a truck also...

Eddie Williams
VERSATILITY GROWS... True freshman Eddie Williams has played extensively the last few games, lining up at fullback and tightend in his role as H-Back in the Vandal offense. Saturday he provided the key lead block for Ford's touchdown dive and caught three passes for 17 yards, including this 7-yarder in the flat that moved Idaho inside the BSU ten yard line.

Mike Barrow
A week after tying UI's single-game record for most field goals made in a game, junior kicker / punter Mike Barrow saw himself on the field again this weekend. Unfortunately, it was punting, not kicking. Kicking from deep in his endzone while new long-snapper Jade Tadvick struggled a bit, Barrow had one blocked and routinely had to hurry his kick under a heavy rush. For the season he's averaging 43.0 yards per punt with a long of 77-yards.

D.J. Smith
Junior wide receiver D.J. Smith caught two touchdowns Saturday and led all receivers with 10 catches for 114 yards. Aside from one dropped pass in which he had gotten behind two Bronco defenders deep in BSU territory on what would have been a long gainer, Smith was solid all afternoon...as always.
