Behind the sharp-shooting of the nations #1 scorer this season, Emily Faurholt, the Vandals have already registered 17 wins on the season. But it took a full-team effort Saturday night as the Women wrapped a 2-0 week with a 58-49 victory over Cal State Northridge, and are now 17-5, 9-4 BWC on the season.

The Men (10-13, 6-7 BWC) went 1-1 on their road swing through California this week, capped off with an impressive 60-56 come-from-behind victory over Cal State Northridge.

WOMEN'S SUMMARY: Last week in the friendly confines of the Cowan Spectrum, the Vandal Women avenged a 1 point loss at Pacific earlier this season with a dominating 72-51 victory over Pacific (11-11, 10-3) Thursday night at the Spectrum. The Women then followed up that emotional performance with a hard-fought victory over Cal State Northridge (3-18, 2-12 BWC) Saturday night at home. The Women maintained their position as the #3 team in the conference, and are just 1 game behind Pacific in the Conference standings. This week the Women hit the road to take on Cal State Fullerton (6-15, 6-6 BWC) Thursday night, and round out the California road trip with a date at UC Riverside (6-15, 5-7 BWC) on Saturday. The team has played outstanding all season, and needs a strong push the last 3 weeks of the season to move up in the tournament seedings.

MEN'S SUMMARY: Last week, on the heels of a frustrating 56-62 loss to Pacific (17-7, 12-1 BWC) Thursday night on the road, the Vandal Men followed up with a hard-fought victory over Cal State Northridge (9-12, 5-8 BWC) Saturday night in California. The Vandal Men maintained their current #4 position in the Conference standings, and now head home to take on Cal State Fullerton (9-12, 57 BWC) Thursday night, and UC Riverside (8-12, 5-7 BWC) Saturday night at the Spectrum. Both games are critical for seeding in the Men's quest to make a return trip to the BWC tournament in March, and tip-off for both games is at 7pm, so make plans to attend TODAY!
