VAC Update: Construction Continues

Construction on Idaho's 8000+ square foot addition continues, which includes a new 7000+ square foot weight room. Installation of the exterior glass should happen in the next couple weeks, but we have a few pictures taken a week ago (for those of you with dial-up modems, please be patient while the pictures download).

Quick update on the progress so far. The exterior "wall of glass" has not been installed yet, but the support members have been installed across the front wall. The supports give a pretty good indication of what the front wall is going to look like with the glass installed.

Glass installation is expected to be started in the next week or so, and we will post photos as soon as that milestone is hit.

The photos below were taken a little over a week ago, so the exterior brickwork is not shown. However, it sounds like a large portion of the exterior brickwork is either complete or nearing completion. We hopefully will be able to show the brickwork in better detail with the next round of images.

If you can make it onto campus in the coming weeks or months, make an effort to walk by the construction site. The weight room is on schedule to be completed sometime in late-December/January, and the magnitude of its impact on how our athletes train in the future cannot be stated clearly enough. This is an absolutely immense improvement over our current weight training facility, in every facet imaginable.
