CIF State Football Championship Division I Bowl Game- Long Beach (Calif.) Poly vs. Granite Bay (Calif.) at
Home Depot Center at 8:00 p.m.
Long Beach Poly, regarded as arguably the top talent producer in all of high school football over the past twenty years, is once again loaded with college level talent at several positions.
The top overall prospect for the Jackrabbits is sophomore cornerback Iman Marshall. The elite 2015 corner
has been stellar all season. Junior safety John Smith has great size, physicality and ball skills
and has a handful of offers. UCLA linebacker commit Jayon Brown is another big-time prospect that plays with a lot of passion and attitude.
On the offensive side of the ball, Washington State tailback commit Gerard Wicks is a tremendous power backs and is a great get for Mike Leach. Manusamoa Lu'uga
also carries the ball for the Jackrabbits.
Junior quarterback Eban Jackson took control of the Poly offense last week in
their win over Clovis North.
Granite Bay has rebounded from a 1-3 start
and is playing in the state bowl game for the first time. They're
led by Beau Hershberger, the linebacker who's been the anchor of their defense
this season.
Grant Caraway runs the Grizzlies offense and the two-headed
running back duo of John Cooley and Tony Ellison has been a key to their streak,
combining for over 2,700 yards.
