While we were out...

*Scottsdale (Az.) Notre Dame Prep CB Maurice White committed to Northern Arizona.

White says, "I committed to NAU. I went on an unofficial visit last weekend and came back and talked to Coach Gregory (NDP head coach) and my parents and decided that NAU was the best place for me. I will be able to play close to home and my family and friends will be able to see me play. Plus, NAU has a lot of Notre Dame players."

White also had offers from Western Illinois and South Dakota State.

*Peoria Sunrise Mountain WR Elroy Masters added two new offers.

"I was offered a full ride offer from NAU," he says. "That was last night and about an hour ago, Air Force called and offered me."

A big part of the Mustangs' success this year (5-1 start) has been the emergence of Masters. The 6-2 200 pounder has caught 24 passes for 780 yards and 11 TDs.

*South Dakota State came through the Valley and offered a handful of kids. Phoenix Brophy Prep LB Robert Relf, Chandler TE Patrick Baldenegro and Northwest Christian safety Trevor Osborne were all offered by the Jackrabbits.

*Phoenix Thunderbird RB Kani Benoit received his sixth offer.

He says, "North Dakota State offered me."

Benoit (6-0 200) also has offers from Wyoming, South Dakota State, Idaho, New Mexico State and North Dakota.

*Scottsdale Chaparral WR/OLB Jake Roh received his fourth offer.

"Washington State offered me as an athlete. They told me how they are trying to change the program around and they are getting new facilities."

Roh also has been offered by Arizona, Oregon State and Duke. He adds that he will visit Duke in December.

*Mesa Community College offensive tackle David Griffin received his first offer.

MCC head coach Ryan Felker says, "FAU (Florida Atlantic) offered David."

Griffin (6-7 290) will have three years to play two at the next level and will graduate in December.
