This morning the University of Idaho received signed Letters of Intent from 22 athletes from around the West. Below is a summary of all signees:
A.J. Annelus, Cornerback
Santa Monica College, Grandview High School, Grandview, Mo.
5-11, 190, Coached by Gifford Lineheim.
As a redshirt freshman at Santa Monica College in 2009, had 40 solo stops and 10 assists in 12 games … also recorded four tackles-for-loss, 12 pass breakups, three interceptions and forced one fumble … as a sophomore in 2010, had 28 solo stops and 11 assists in addition to three tackles-for-loss, four interceptions (one of which was returned 46 yards for a TD), four pass breakups and one forced fumble … is a 2007 graduate of Grandview (Mo.) High School … joined the Vandals in January.
Dion Bass, Cornerback
Centennial High School, Corona, Calif.
5-9, 175, Coached by Matt Logan.
As a senior at Centennial High School (Corona, Calif.), he averaged four tackles per game (totaled 56) in addition to grabbing two interceptions in his first season at cornerback after playing at running back … started on a team that had 39 wins in three years, two CIF championships and one state championship … one of five brothers to play at Centennial … a "shutdown" corner … "I have an aggressive mentality and I have a good nose for the ball. I love to just go 1-1, be on an island with a receiver, and see who comes out on top," Bass said in an interview in Cali High Sports … his brother Ryan redshirted at Idaho last fall after transferring from Arizona State.
