IDAHO GOT OUT TO A SLUGGISH START MONDAY NIGHT AT FRESNO STATE, but Idaho head coach Don Verlin was called for a rare technical foul in the first half and from then the Vandals took command. Led by KYLE BARONE'S 18 points and six rebounds, Idaho (12-6, 5-1 WAC) beat the Bulldogs (7-9, 3-3 WAC) 67-57 on the road. Now Idaho sets their sights on Boise State in Moscow this Saturday (7pm PST tipoff).

Idaho is off to a tremendous start, with Monday night's victory over Fresno State giving Idaho a 12-6 season record, and a 5-1 start in Western Athletic Conference play. The 5-1 start is Idaho's best since the 1993-94 season when they were a member of the Big Sky Conference. Now the Vandals prepare for this Saturday's rivalry home game with Boise State in the Cowan Spectrum. Tipoff is set for 7:05pm PST, and is the second half of a double-header in the Cowan, with the women tipping off against BSU at 4pm PST.

Against Fresno sophomore center Kyle Barone led Idaho scorers for the second game in a row, this time registering 18 points against the Bulldogs. Senior guard Shawn Henderson finished second on the team with 15-points, and also drained 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Senior forward Brandon Wiley was a work-horse at Fresno, logging 35 minutes of PT, scoring eight points, and leading the Vandals by dishing five assists and blocking a shot on the night.
